Donna is a stepmum to Josh's 19-year-old son- and he played a big part in bringing the couple together. "He's a beautiful young man," she says, recalling how his love of her balloon creations as a child led to her introduction to her now-husband.

Donna Cochrane, star of Channel 7’s new series Blow Up, is fanatical about balloons. So much so that the Noosa children’s entertainer and balloon artist was surrounded by 110,000 of them when she married her long-time love, Jason, four years ago. The bride even wore a gown made of, you guessed it, balloons.

“If I was to ever get married, I’d always wanted to wear a balloon dress, because balloons are my life,” Donna tells WHO from her home on Queensland’s Sunshine Coast. “My plan was to have balloon dresses for the bride, the bridesmaids, and have a bit of a balloon garden in the background. But it kind of ‘blew’ a little out of proportion.”
