After a rough start in life, MasterChef judge and award-winning restaurateur Jock Zonfrillo didn’t want for much. “I’d love to live a super, super simple life,” he revealed to The Daily Telegraph in what would be one of his last interviews.

“A small house in the middle of nowhere with kids, pets. Just a really simple, uncomplicated life… Not the flashy extravagant lifestyle you’d expect from a TV person.”

There was little about the talented and charismatic Scottish-born chef, who passed away suddenly aged 46 on April 30, that was typical of a TV personality.

LOVE AT FIRST SIGHT

From first meeting on Twitter in 2014 to their 2017 New Year’s Day wedding, Zonfrillo and Fried were inseparable. “She just swept me off my feet in such an unsuspecting way,” he said. “I was lost before she came along.”
