A BATTLE IS BREWING AS MUM PRISCILLA CHALLENGES BEING LEFT OUT OF LISA MARIE'S WILL

A bitter dispute over Lisa Marie Presley’s will is threatening to tear her famous family apart, but on February 1, matriarch Priscilla Presley appeared sentimental as she paid tribute to her “only daughter” on what would have been her 55th birthday. “My wish is to protect my three grandchildren and keep our family together,” she posted on Instagram. “From the first moment I held Lisa in my arms, I’ve protected, loved and guided her.”

The bittersweet feeling alludes to the turmoil stirred up in the wake of Lisa Marie’s shock death on January 12. On January 27, attorneys for Priscilla filed documents in the Los Angeles Superior Court that contest an amendment made to her daughter’s will. Lisa Marie had previously named Priscilla, 77, and former business manager Barry Siegel as co-trustees in 2010, but a 2016 amendment put the trust in the hands of her actress daughter Riley Keough and late son Benjamin Keough, who died by suicide in 2020. The petition questions the “authenticity and validity” of the change, citing a failure to notify her, a misspelling of her name in a document, an atypical signature from Lisa Marie, and the lack of a witness.
