It was an act of “trickery,” she claims. In October, Tiger Woods’ live-in girlfriend of five years, Erica Herman, was told to pack her bags for a short vacation. Once at the airport, she was notified she’d been locked out of the sprawling oceanside home she shared with the golf legend, prompting her to quietly file a lawsuit against the trust that owns the athlete’s Jupiter Island, Fla., estate and demand more than $30 million in damages. According to Erica’s filing, she had an “oral tenancy agreement” to remain in the property for an additional five years.
Now another even more shocking lawsuit has followed. In early March, the 39-year-old — who met Tiger, 47, when she worked as the general manager at his restaurant, The Woods — asked a judge to nullify the nondisclosure agreement the pro golfer had her sign when they began dating in 2017, claiming that it’s now “invalid and unenforceable.”
The reason, Erica’s lawyers cited — without making any specific allegations — is a federal act that voids NDAs when sexual assault or sexual harassment is involved. Tiger is stunned. “He says he’s never verbally or physically abused or harassed Erica,” says a source. “It may not have been the most tender breakup, but he felt he had to legally protect himself, and now he’s glad he did.”
