The Mawmluh Cave in Meghalaya has now been elevated. Krem Mawmluh – as it is locally called – has been selected by the International Union of Geological Sciences (IUGS) as one of the first 100 IUGS Geological Sites in the world. It is also a UNESCO recognised site.
