Filmed over a year and with unique access to Parole Board hearings, BBC2’s new five-part series Parole follows the decision-making process that determines which prisoners are deemed safe to be released and which ones need to remain behind bars.
One of those coming before the Parole Board is convicted killer Colin, who murdered young father Leigh in a brutal fight outside a pub in 1997, even taking off his sock and filling it with snooker balls to beat his victim with.
