When her drug-addict daughter Cassie turned up in Weatherfield a month or two ago, Evelyn was sent into a panic because she's always told grandson Tyrone that his mum died years ago.

Evelyn was rattled further when she turned up at No.9 and found that Tyrone had invited Cassie in, with Cassie claiming to be an old pal of his nan's called Cath.

Later, Cassie told her mum that she wanted to tell her son the truth so she could get to know him and his kids, but Evelyn insisted that she cleaned up her act first.
