Following Lola's death, broken Jay has struck up an unhealthy relationship with an escort, and is now boozing and taking drugs.

This week, when Billy stages an intervention, things get worse as angry Ben lets slip that Jay has slept with Lola lookalike Nadine. The revelation rocks Lexi, and as his stepdaughter runs off, Jay's shunned by the family.

'When this comes out and jeopardises their relationship, Jay can't cope. It is the worst thing to happen to him besides Lola dying,' explains Jamie Borthwick, who plays him.

In a dark place, Jay contacts a dealer but Gina's wise to his mess. After getting shot of the drugs, she offers him a bed.
