The Twitter app on my phone has a little red circle telling me that I have over five hundred new notifications. I'm tempted to open it and continue to torture myself, but instead I press down on the icon and delete the app. Hopefully that will give me some peace at least until, as Jack said, it blows over.
Which I realise is a very bad turn of phrase right now.
Then I check again to see if Posey has resurfaced. But she hasn't. I call her mobile again but it's still off. I feel a knot of worry begin to loop in on itself in my chest.
Posey is never incommunicado.
