A place to restore and reflect.
This delightful garden was inspired by the owner's love of Mediterranean design. The garden today bears evidence of years of hard work that have transformed a 'garden that was never gardened' to one that is filled with intrigue at every turn.
Dating back to 1941, the house required substantial renovation. The Moroccan-styled verandah overlooking the lawn was demolished in 1945 and rebuilt and styled for the new owner by builder and tiler, Tim Eddie, who was also responsible for the stylish croquet house with its shingle-covered roof.

Autumn and winter are the best times to see what flowers produce the best seedheads that can be left on the plants to feed the birds and bugs and for harvesting for dried arrangements.

Whoever associated a Cotyledon orbiculata (pig's ear) with the ear of a pig obviously did not know about all the varieties and cultivars this species in the genus Cotyledon has.
