Hof stools, Great Dane. Ceramic urn, bowls and fruit stand, Alex and Trahanas. Botanic Garden Buildings terracotta ceramic by Cassie Hansen, Curatorial+Co. Carl Hansen & Son ‘Elbow’ dining chairs, Cult Design. Table, owners’ existing, Coco Republic. Artwork, Willow Tree by Ash Holmes, Hake House of Art. Faum sculptural candles, Hermetica Flowers.

Entrusted to “make the best of this tired house”, interior designer Fiona Bruzzano pulled out all the stops. The property in question is located in an enviable position near one of Sydney’s northern beaches and had been home to this family of four for nearly 20 years. Custom designed and built in 2004 when the owners, Ramy and Kerry, were starting their family – and consolidating their careers – it was a solid, serviceable home. But with daughters Mia and Bianca now young adults, they felt it was in desperate need of a makeover. Introduced to the owners by builder James Clayton of Four Front Building, Fiona tackled the renovation with relish.
