She's been around for almost a decade, creating stunning yet relatable content and using her platform and passion for helping others. A psychology honours graduate, YouTuber, brand influencer and wife to hubby Lorenzo Lakay for five years, the curly-haired fashionista has mastered the demanding and 'unconventional' job of content creation, keeping things honest and raw along the way, and holding on to her faith and values.
HOW DOES IT FEEL TO HAVE COME THIS FAR? Firstly, it really does not feel like 10 years! It is such an honour to know that I have an audience that trusts my thoughts and opinions, and who has supported my journey throughout the last couple of years. It feels like we're a group of friends who share our thoughts, fashion and beauty tips, and have the occasional laugh together on my Instagram Lives or in person.
WHAT HAVE YOU BEEN UP TO LATELY? I recently attended a helpful workshop hosted by YouTube, learning more about how I can grow my channel and become more connected to my audience. They taught us how to go from 'good to great' as a content creator. So that is what I plan to do for the next year. I want to step up my game, in general, on the platform. I also just want other female content creators to know that they shouldn't try to fit in with what everyone else is doing online, or with trends. If you are passionate about a certain niche topic, focus on that the right community of people will find you and support you.
