PROFESSIONAL PALS ARE OUT OF TUNE OVER AWARDS GIG

For more than seven years, Carrie Bickmore and Tommy Little have been both the best of friends and professional colleagues.

“Their chemistry, be it on the radio or on screen, is palpable,” an industry insider tells New Idea.

The pair began working together on Network 10’s The Project in 2016, then started presenting the Hit Network’s Carrie & Tommy radio show the next year. But now an announcement about a new co-host for Tommy has “surprised” Carrie, as well as their loyal fan base.

Last week, it was revealed that Tommy will be hosting the 2023 ARIA Awards with popular Channel Nine personality Brooke Boney, instead of Carrie.

Given Carrie and Tommy’s very successful double act, many are wondering why the award show’s producers aren’t opting to go for the “guaranteed winning hosting combo” that is the two of them.
