ADAM LIAW AND PALS ARE COOKING UP A STORM FOR A NEW SEASON

Even though he has pumped out more than 600 episodes of The Cook Up since its inception in 2021, Adam Liaw has no plans to change the recipe of the popular series.

Welcoming New Idea to the set during production of the new season, Adam explains the show never feels stale or repetitive all thanks to the rotating lineup of guests, who join the host to share stories and prepare their favourite dishes. The constant fresh faces allow the show to still “experiment”, says Adam.

This year the likes of actress Virginia Gay and celebrity gardening guru Jamie Durie are joining Adam in the kitchen. As we sit down to chat after filming, Adam admits there’s actually no science to the celebrities who they invite to appear!

Who designs the recipes?

It’s entirely up to the guest. They get a lot of time in advance and we give them the theme. We don’t throw any curveballs – that would be a different type of show.
