When Michele Lochhead bought herself a stand-up paddleboard, she never expected it would become her dog Poppy's favourite toy.
But the moment Michele launched her watercraft in the bay three years ago, her five-year-old groodle jumped on board too.
Poppy has since moved on to surfing with Michele. Last year, they were crowned the wave riding champions at the Noosa Festival of Surfing.
"From day one she has just walked up the front of the board and waited for me to take off," Michele, 32, tells New Idea. "She has such good balance. "She's just a natural."
