INTO THE ABYSS

For Fall/Winter 2023, Hermès adds a trio of limited edition lipsticks to its popular Rouge Hermès range and this season's colour of inspiration is black. Pierre Hardy, the maison's creative director for jewellery and beauty objects, created three original tube designs featuring different variations of black with hues of emerald, amethyst, purple, and orange intertwined to resemble the celestial phenomena of outer space. Available in pigmented shades of red, burgundy, and purple, the lippies come in lightweight formulations, and are also buildable for layering to add dimension to your daily pout. What's best is that the lipsticks are refillable with any other shade from the Rouge Hermès permanent collection.

ATYPICAL FLORAL

Fragrances are known to conjure up a particular memory and space. But it won’t be springtime lavender fields for New York-based perfume brand Le Labo, which aims to shatter the preconceived notion of a traditional lavender scent with its new release — Lavande 31.

The addition of bergamot and neroli adds a layer of freshness before the fragrance gives way to pure lavender distilled from flower buds. Its base of amber, musk, and tonka contributes to a balanced blend. The result: a clean yet ‘dirty’ olfactory quality.
