The confluence of culture, cuisine, and camaraderie ensured the recent Ombak Festival was an amazing one. It labelled itself a family-friendly festival that welcomed all, however, its true highlights lay in the star-studded reel of musical acts lined up for fans of all ages to enjoy.
However, the Ombak Festival offered more than just music, with over 50 events made available for all in attendance. Ranging from live performances to art installations and culinary experiences located across the resorts and hotels dotting the coastline of Johor's Desaru, there was plenty to do.
We particularly enjoyed the Ember Beach Club Brunch by Chef Andrew Walsh at the One&Only Desaru Coast and the Kitchen Takeover by Carbon KL at The Westin.
Wherever we were on the strip, the spirit of community was felt throughout the festival arena.
