A stark change from mixology establishments that insist on hand-crafting every cocktail from scratch

Tapping In

Though born locally, Warren Kwa didn’t spend much time living in Malaysia, having moved overseas from young. He’s back now, and bringing a revolution to the local cocktail scene via Tap Tap, which provides cocktails on tap.

It all began in 2021, when Kwa gathered a few like-minded individuals who shared a passion for cocktails to cofound the business. “We all enjoy cocktails, but it can become a pretty pricey affair, and so would have to limit ourselves to enjoying maybe two or three cocktails only,” admits Kwa.

He then shares about how he drew inspiration from a bar he came across in New York, called Yours Sincerely which served cocktails on tap. “When I went in, I was like ‘oh wow, what a smart creative idea.’” Here in Kuala Lumpur, Tap Tap provides several solutions for cocktail lovers. For one, you can now sample more drinks at a lower price point— ranging between RM25 and RM35—plus, it’s served faster.
