When Leica held its Celebration of Photography event in October last year at its Leitz-Park home in the historic German town of Wetzlar, a key highlight was the presentation of the Leica Oskar Barnack Award, an international photo contest for photographers. The gathering has become a much anticipated event every year drawing photographers, enthusiasts, industry insiders, and media including Tatler Singapore, from around the world.
The premium manufacturer of cameras and sports optics also took the opportunity to introduce the first major development in its watchmaking ambition— the release of the new Leica ZM 11 to join its watch line-up since the first two models, the ZM 1 and ZM 2 (formerly L1 and L2, respectively), were announced in 2018.
