Jharkhand is known for its abundant natural resources, coal and other mineral reserves, apart from a rich cultural heritage. The Government of Jharkhand has catapulted the state on a high growth trajectory and accelerated sustainable growth through various initiatives at district, block, and Panchayat levels. Apart from strengthening and stabilising the growth in output of agriculture, the government is living up to its commitment to take pathbreaking and reform-oriented steps along with promoting the rural non-farm sector with various visionary initiatives. It intends to increase citizens' participation in governance and empower them with the opportunity to be part of people-oriented planning.
Aapki Yojana Aapki Sarkar Aapke Dwar
Led by Chief Minister Hemant Soren, the government has launched the programme, 'Aapki Yojana Aapki Sarkar Aapke Dwar' (your schemes, your government, at your door) from October 12 to October 22 and from November 1 to November 14, 2022. The programme aims at doorstep delivery of select welfare schemes besides offering on-the-spot grievance redressal and in making the entire application process hassle-free. The initiative has been undertaken to mark the completion of three years of the State government in December 2022.
Under the ambit of the said scheme the officers are once again going to the houses of beneficiaries to give them their rights. The first version of the initiative was launched by the Chief Minister on Jharkhand Statehood Day on November 15, 2021, and the government started holding camps for beneficiaries at the panchayat level the next day. In 2021, a total of 6,867 camps were organised, and out of a total of 35.94 lakh applications, 35.56 lakh applications were disposed of.
