The Jharkhand Adivasi Mahotsav is a realisation of hopes of the tribal dominated state of Jharkhand. It is the visionary and sensitive leadership of Chief Minister Hemant Soren that for two consecutive years, the state of Jharkhand witnessed the organization of the grand Adivasi Mahotsav which was long awaited for the past 20 years. The unique confluence of tribal culture, tradition, costumes and cuisine of the entire country including Jharkhand was seen in the tribal festival organized on August 9 and 10 at the Birsa Munda Smriti Udyan, Ranchi, capital of Jharkhand.
Jharkhand is a land where the very walk of people is as close to them as grooving and the speech as melodious as music. The same land of Jharkhand became witness to the rich Tribal philosophy of life. Great reverence and homage was offered by the people to the land of valiant tribal heroes and revolutionaries. When Tribal musical instruments spread its musical glory in the "Reej Rang Rasika Rally" and the sonorous beats of the Mandar echoed giving in to the splendid dance of 32 Tribal communities, the world stood still to witness a sight that was beautiful to behold; the Jharkhand Adivasi Mahotsav 2023.

A golden girl
One of India's most formidable beauties passed away earlier this month. The odd thing is she would absolutely hate this obituary; she hated being written about and avoided publicity for all of her nine decades. Indira Aswani was 93 when she died. India is not a controlling big brother
Prime Minister Tshering Tobgay considers India a benevolent elder sibling as the \"big brotherly attitude\" is happily missing from bilateral ties. He thinks the relationship shared by the two countries has become a model of friendship not just for the region, but for the entire world. \"India's attitude is definitely not of a big brother who is controlling and does not allow the little brother to blossom and grow,\" says Tobgay in an exclusive interview with THE WEEK.
