DIPO AKINYEMII returned to the goal trail with a vengeance as his man-of-the-match performance saw the Minstermen pick up three crucial points in their fight against relegation.
Akinyemi's run and cross led to the opening goal in the first half and his impressive lob in the second half sealed the win.
His performance and the team's had boss Adam Hinshelwood beaming at full-time, and he said: "Since the win last week the belief has been there, we trained well and that was shown today.
"The fight and endeavour was there throughout the game.
"When you come to a place like Bromley you have to show bravery to play and we did that.
"Bromley may have had a lot of the ball in the second half but we limited them to little or nothing and Dipo finished the game a with fantastic second goal." It was relegation-threatened York who began the game better and perhaps should have taken the lead inside the opening ten minutes.
