Former boss Steve Baker ended a lengthy eight-year tenure at the end of the season following relegation from Southern Premier South.
Now 29-year-old Berry has the chance to revive the Earlsmead outfit – and it’s a club he knows well.
The midfielder played for Boro a decade ago under Dave Anderson after leaving Plymouth Argyle and then went on to serve Chipstead, Egham Town and Chalfont St Peter.
“I went from professional football to NonLeague and it was a great starting point for me.,” Hillingdon-born Berry told The NLP. “I had to adapt my game – I was a lightweight midfielder at 19.
“I know how the club works and what a big club it can be. It’s had some tough times recently, but I’m excited to get going. I think it’s a good project that can succeed and go really well.”
