CHATS BID FOR TITLE SUFFERS A SETBACK

It was a fairly even contest for the most part with few chances during the early stages of the game. While the hosts dominated possession, Hastings looked dangerous on the counter-attack, which the Chats did well to nullify.

However, the deadlock was broken in the 39th minute when Davide Rodari popped up with a header, completely unmarked inside the box. The forward capitalised on a long throw into the box, but Chatham will be disappointed that he was left unattended to notch the visitors ahead late into the first half.
