The 18-year-old centre-back became the latest Non-League starlet to make the move to London Road – and the third in the space of a fortnight – after signing a four-year deal from Rochdale for a six-figure fee.
It completed an impressive treble swoop from the League One club, who snapped up Welling United’s teenage striker David Kamara last week, and then the National League’s Player of the Year, Chris Conn-Clarke, from Altrincham, in a deal believed to be worth £350,000.
Nevett made his debut for Dale in the last game of the 2022/23 season at the age of 17 and was subsequently awarded with his first professional contract.
