JIMMY GINNELLY has given up trying to predict the uber-tight Southern Premier Central – the Nuneaton Borough boss just keeps getting it wrong.
Ginnelly helped steer Boro into the play-off places last season, only to miss out on promotion in an agonising final penalty shootout defeat to the unfancied Rushall Olympic.
A waft of top summer signings has got the bookies interested once more, but wily boss Ginnelly has learned not to get caught up in the weight of expectation.
“It’s such a tough league, every year,” the former Atherstone Town and Barwell boss told The NLP. “We have this thing among our coaching staff each week where we predict the results of each game. Out of 11 games, we are lucky to get three right, it’s that unpredictable.
“From the bottom team to the top, you’re always in for a tough game.
