Kameron English’s closerange finish four minutes into stoppage time sent the Robins in raptures as another bumper crowd marvelled in a second year of cup magic. Just under a year ago, the Robins played host to Ipswich Town in a televised first round tie which put the club firmly on the FA Cup map.
The cameras returned to Sandhurst again for this lunchtime kick-off with the Robins once again putting on a show.
“To do it two years on the bounce, it’s a pinch yourself moment,” said joint boss Jamie McClurg.
“We believed it. We’d done our homework on them and felt we had the squad to cause an upset and they’ve just gone out there and applied themselves to the letter.”
