Several decades after Junagadh's accession to India in 1947, the Pakistan Foreign Office (FO) once again ruffled feathers with its statement that the erstwhile princely state is a "part of Pakistan" and India's "illegal occupation of it is a violation of the United Nations Charter and international norms". Contesting its claims are none other than the members of the erstwhile ruling family, now living in India.
