NO NEED FOR FLYOVER UNTIL 2044: PETITIONER

PIL CHALLENGING PANJRAPOLE FLYOVER CONSTRUCTION

A bench of the Gujarat High Court on Friday adjourned a PIL challenging the construction of a flyover at the Panjarapole junction by the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) to December 19.

The senior counsel argued that there is currently no traffic congestion that necessitates the construction of the flyover, and an interim stay order over the proposed construction should be granted.

The HC will continue hearing the PIL on the next date to decide whether to grant relief.

Declining traffic

A bench of the Gujarat High Court, consisting of Chief Justice Sunita Agarwal and Justice Pranav Trivedi, was hearing a PIL filed by local residents Dharini Shah and others challenging the proposed flyover on various grounds.
