In an unusual case, the Gujarat Real Estate Regulatory Authority (GUJRERA) has denied relief to a shop owner battling leaks from upstairs spas in the Shivalik Shilp building at Iscon crossroads.
The shop owner had sought action against the building's developer and the owners of two spas for water damage to his premises.
The owner claimed the spas kept their bathtubs constantly filled, leading to water seepage into his shop.
However, GUJRERA ruled that the dispute fell outside its jurisdiction, as it wasn't a direct conflict between the developer and an allottee, but rather an internal building matter.
