PSI death: Cops nab trailer driver from Rajasthan

Breakthrough in the case comes after the probe was transferred from Surendranagar police; driver nabbed from Balotra district

The Ahmedabad District Police has detained trailer driver, Mangaram, from Sindhri village in Balotra district of Rajasthan in connection with the incident in which PSI Javed Pathan was killed on duty while intercepting bootleggers.

Earlier the Surendranagar District Police who were investigating the case were unable to track the trailer or the Creta involved in the incident.

Later the case was transferred to the Ahmedabad District police which achieved a breakthrough in the case.

Top police sources confirmed that Mangharam has admitted that another vehicle had rammed into the rear of his trailer at the time of the accident.
