The Education Department has announced a major change in the recruitment process for teaching assistants (Vidya Sahayak) in the state's primary schools, reducing the age limit for candidates.
This adjustment comes as part of the ongoing online registration for approximately 8,000 teaching assistant positions.
For male candidates in the general category, the age bracket has been revised from 18-36 years (set in 2022) to 18-35 years. Female candidates in the general category now face an age limit of 18-40 years, down from 18-41 years.
