Despite the Gujarat government's declared war on drugs, sources reveal that the Gujarat CID crime's narcotic cell, responsible for the 1908 helpline, is severely understaffed.
DGP Vikas Sahay, in a recent press conference, urged the public to contact the cell with any information on drug dealing or consumption. However, the cell currently operates with only two officers and one police personnel.
Sources confirm there is one DSP (Deputy Superintendent of Police) rank officer, one Police Inspector rank officer, and one police staff.
