ETHAN AMPADU was “devastated” by his costly Euros red card for Wales but has vowed to keep his aggressive streak in Qatar.
The defender has 37 caps despite being only 22, and although he is highly regarded by Wales is never far from a potential caution.
He picked up 13 bookings and two red cards last season while on loan in Italy with Venezia from Chelsea.
But the dismissal that really stung was at Euro 2020 when Ampadu was sent off in Wales’ final group game.
A studs-in challenge on Federico Bernardeschi in the 1-0 defeat by Italy, meant Ampadu missed the 4-0 last-16 exit to Denmark.
Looking back now, he said: “It was devastation. In the moment you feel like you have let the team down, which isn’t a good feeling.
