
THE £800,000 fortune of a pensioner who tore up her will on her deathbed is at the centre of a unique legal fight revolving around a Victorian law.
The High Court drama pits Carry Keats' five distant cousins against her younger sister, with whom she had a "love-hate relationship".
The judge, Deputy Master John Linwood, heard Ms Keats, 92, ripped three-quarters of the will's pages in hospital and instructed her solicitor, Hafwen Webb, to tear up the rest.
