Care system crisis a legacy of Tory failure

Patients wait weeks to leave hospital

PATIENTS are waiting weeks to be discharged from hospital due to the Tories' failure to fix the care system.

A survey found almost a fifth of care companies across the UK reporting weeks-long waiting times for people to be transferred into their care.

Some patients are being forced to wait three or more weeks.

In his first speech as Prime Minister in 2019, Boris Johnson claimed: "We will fix the crisis in social care once and for all with a clear plan we have prepared."
