Corrie Steph 'raided by hammer burglar'

The actress, 75, was at her £750,000 home when she allegedly came face-to-face with the intruder.

CORONATION Street’s Stephanie Beacham was confronted by a hammer-wielding burglar during a terrifying raid, a court heard. 

Stephanie’s jewellery, keys, cheque book, purse and mobile phone were stolen during the break-in.

David Wilson, 56, has been charged with aggravated burglary and robbery at the actress’s home in Bayswater, West London, on September 25.

Prosecutor Gregor McKinley branded the star an “elderly victim”.
