ONE look at social media in the aftermath of Germany's last gasp 1-1 draw with Switzerland would have you believe it was another night of the Toni Kroos show.
Germany's veteran midfielder, who is playing his last tournament before retiring, once again ripped up the record books on Sunday night to claim the highest number of passes completed (324) in a European Championships group stage.
Kroos showed once again that he is an all-time class act.
But while he was busy rewriting history, Granit Xhaka was carving his own.
To stand out in a midfield battle against Kroos (above) and Ilkay Gundogan (far right) takes some doing.
But Switzerland captain Xhaka is no stranger to the big occasion and was minutes away from leading his country to a famous victory - and not for the first time.
That they were only denied by Niclas Fullkrug's 92nd-minute equaliser says a lot about the shift Switzerland put in against one of the early tournament favourites.
