Tom plea to feed all hungry pupils

TOM Kerridge has urged No10 to extend free school meals to more needy children.

And the TV chef ripped into MPS who voted against feeding hungry kids while enjoying subsidised food in the Commons.

Tom, who had free school dinners as a child, said they should be given to the 800,000 children living in poverty who do not qualify under current rules.

He added: "The priority for me is making sure everybody has a school meal. It should be part and parcel of education."

The Mirror and the National Education Union are calling for England to follow Scotland and Wales by providing free school meals for all primary pupils.
