THE two men who drove Jay Slater to their AirBnB on the day of his death have insisted he died in a tragic accident.

Convicted drug dealer Ayub Qassim and pal "Rocky" said they played no part in the tragedy and spoke out in a bid to set the record straight over wild conspiracy theories swirling online.

It had been claimed Jay, 19, had stolen a £12,000 Rolex watch and that he was scared as he left the £40-a-night AirBnB in Masca on July 15. He was heading to his apartment in Los Cristianos, about 22 miles away, with his mobile phone battery on 1%.
