JEMMA'S SCOT SILVER SERVICE

JEMMA REEKIE claimed it was "good but not good enough" despite bouncing back from hell to score silver on the final night of the World Indoor Championships in Glasgow.

The Scot, who turns 26 on Wednesday, helped herself to an early birthday present with a time of 2:02.72 in the women's 800 metres final but she couldn't overhaul Tsige Duguma off the closing bend.

The Ethiopian, 23, took a shock victory with a bold run at the front but it was redemption for the home favourite after near-misses and personal heartache.

Twelve months ago, she was broken in body and mind after an ugly split from ex-coach Andy Young during a training camp in South Africa tore her apart.
