JOE: IT'S TIME FOR ME TO GO

JOE MARLER will play his last game of professional rugby tomorrow night after announcing his retirement from the sport.

The prop called time on his international career earlier this month and was expected to play for Harlequins until the end of the season.

But the 34-year-old has decided to call it quits immediately and will bow out after Quins' game against Bristol tomorrow.

Marler has spent 15 years at the Stoop making 285 appearances and winning the Premiership in 2012 and 2021 and the European Challenge Cup in 2011.

Marler said: "The time has come to finally jump off the rollercoaster and walk away from this beautifully brutal game. After all these happy years, it's over.
