Brother guilty of boy's sex abuse

PHILLIP Schofield disowned his younger brother after he was convicted yesterday of sexually abusing a boy.

Civilian police worker Timothy Schofield, 54, abused a teenager over a three-year period from when the child was just 13.

He later told his celebrity sibling they had engaged in sexual activity but claimed the boy was over 16.

After the conviction, This Morning host Phillip, 61, said: "If any crime had ever been confessed to me by my brother, I would have acted immediately to protect the victim and their family.
