ROO EYES PILGRIMS PROGRESS

WAYNE ROONEY has promised Plymouth fans exciting football and says he was itching to get out of the TV studio and back on the training ground.

The 38-year-old former Manchester United and England striker has been in charge of Derby, DC United and Birmingham since hanging up his boots.

"You look at different traits they have and take on the good ones. You have to adapt to situations and understand your players.
