Smoking gun twist to Princes in Tower

THE 540-year-old mystery of what happened to the Princes in the Tower might finally have been solved, with long-suspected murder their most likely fate.

King Edward V, 12, and his nine year-old brother Richard vanished in 1483, with their uncle Richard III thought to be behind their deaths.

A year after contested evidence suggested they could have survived, the discovery of a will has bolstered the theory they were secretly killed.

A Channel 5 documentary will today reveal Lady Margaret Capell, sister-in-law of one of the alleged murderers, bequeathed Edward's treasured chain of office to her son.
