Why still no knife ban?

THE mother of a 15-year-old boy who was stabbed to death has confronted a minister over delays in a zombie knife ban.

Zaian Aimable-Lina suffered a 5in-deep wound to the heart during the attack in Croydon, South London, on December 30, 2021.

His 17-year-old killer was sentenced to a minimum of 18 years.

Zaian' mum Theresa yesterday spoke at an event discussing youth violence attended by Home Office minister Chris Philp at Crystal Palace's stadium, Selhurst Park.

She asked: "Why is it taking so long to ban these knives? What is the purpose of them other than the damage that they do?"
