BEN STOKES will throw the new ball to Chris Woakes this morning, issuing a challenge to become the country's bowling spearhead.
England's skipper has placed his trust in the Warwickshire seamer to fill the void left by legendary duo Stuart Broad and Jimmy Anderson.
This Test is the first time since 2012 that neither of the old guard will be playing.
And it is to Woakes that Stokes has turned to heap further misery upon the Windies.
Stokes said: "This is an opportunity for Chris to take on more of a leadership role within the bowling unit. He's a very experienced bowler and player.
"We've been so used to seeing Jimmy Anderson and Stuart Broad doing it. Now we don't have that.
