YOUNGER drinkers are swapping boozy Saturday nights out for earlier sessions, say pub bosses.

Generation Z, those born in the late 1990s or the early noughties, prefer to be heading home by 8pm instead of having a night on the town.

David McDowall, boss of Stonegate, Britain's biggest pub group, said traditional happy hours have been replaced by bottomless brunches, during which guests have a meal and can order unlimited alcohol during a set time limit.
