A MURDER probe is under way after a woman was killed when her car was run off the road by a Mercedes.

The woman, named locally as Amy-Rose Wilson, died when the silver Vauxhall Vectra she was driving crashed into another car in Falkirk.

Her 22-year-old male passenger and a man, 39, driving a black Volkswagen Tiguan were also hurt in the crash.

Police say the collision happened after a Mercedes C-Class pursued the Vauxhall on to New Carron Road.

Emergency services rushed to the crash shortly after 6pm on Saturday following reports of a smash between two motors.

Amy-Rose, 27, originally from Newcastle, was pronounced dead at the scene, and police are treating her death as murder.

Her passenger, was taken to Edinburgh Royal Infirmary for treatment.
