Prosecutors claim loan shark & his son tortured & murdered two men in high flat

TWO men were savagely murdered and had letters blowtorched on to their heads by a loan shark and his son, prosecutors claim.

It is alleged one victim had nails stuck in his eyes while the other had his ears cut off.

The details emerged as a father and son face murder accusations.

Ian MacLeod, 66, and Dean MacLeod, 41, are alleged to have killed Derek Johnston and Desmond Rowlings at a flat in Edinburgh's Greendykes Road between October 30 and November 1, 2022.

It is claimed Derek, 37, was repeatedly struck on the head with a Stanley knife and a machete. He also allegedly suffered "blunt force trauma" and was hit with a hammer. The weapon is said to have been left "embedded" in his head.
